Ingredients
- Croissants
- Cookie dough
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for 2
- 4 Tbsp salted butter, melted
- 4 Tbsp brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/3 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Cookie Dough
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter for about 30 seconds in the microwave until melted. Stir in brown sugar and sugar – stir well until the sugars begin to dissolve and the mixture becomes smooth.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla and stir well.
- Fold in flour and baking soda and stir together. Fold in chocolate chips.
Crookie
- Preheat your oven to 350F.
- Slice your croissants without cutting all the way through. (We made 2 total.)
- Separate dough to make two large cookies.
- Take half of the dough for one croissant and flatten out to be a similar size as the croissant.
- Place inside the cut croissant and close the top. Break the other half into half again and place on the two sides of the top of the croissant.
- Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes. Checking on the cookie towards the end. You do not want to over bake the crookies.
- Top with powdered sugar & enjoy!
Notes
These are not as “sweet” as you may think! The croissants actually help tamper the sweetness and make it a bit more decadent!
