  • Cookie dough

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough for 2

  • 4 Tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 4 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

Cookie Dough

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat butter for about 30 seconds in the microwave until melted.  Stir in brown sugar and sugar – stir well until the sugars begin to dissolve and the mixture becomes smooth.
  • Add egg yolk and vanilla and stir well.
  • Fold in flour and baking soda and stir together.  Fold in chocolate chips.

Crookie

  • Preheat your oven to 350F.
  • Slice your croissants without cutting all the way through.  (We made 2 total.)
  • Separate dough to make two large cookies.
  • Take half of the dough for one croissant and flatten out to be a similar size as the croissant.
  • Place inside the cut croissant and close the top.  Break the other half into half again and place on the two sides of the top of the croissant.
  • Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.  Checking on the cookie towards the end.  You do not want to over bake the crookies.
  • Top with powdered sugar & enjoy!

Notes

These are not as “sweet” as you may think!  The croissants actually help tamper the sweetness and make it a bit more decadent!
