Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 12 ounces rotini pasta
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup green pepper, diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 214 ounce jars of pizza sauce
  • 2.5 oz pepperoni sliced, cut into half (except for the ones you will put on top)
  • 1 cup cooked chopped bacon
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Part 1: Prep & Cook Pasta

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.

    2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.

Part 2: Sauté Meat & Veggies

    1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, sausage, diced onions, and mushrooms. Stir and break up the meat until it is no longer pink and the vegetables are soft.

    2. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30-45 seconds until fragrant. Drain off any excess grease.

    3. Stir in the Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

    Part 3: Combine & Bake

    1. Add the pizza sauce, bacon, pepperoni slices (reserving some whole pepperoni for the top), and the cooked pasta to the skillet. Stir until all ingredients are well combined and the pasta is evenly coated.

    2. Top the mixture with a generous layer of cheese and the reserved whole pepperoni slices.

    3. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and starting to turn golden brown.

    4. Serve warm and enjoy!
