Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 lb burger of choice
  • 4 sliced bacon, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 large red pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 34 cans kidney beans
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can stewed mexican tomatos
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can chopped green chiies
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 Tbsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp seasoning salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  • Cook bacon in oven until crispy.
  • Brown your meat of choice – we personally love eld burger & if not available, use ground turkey
  • Saute garlic & onion until translucent.
  • Chop (prep) all veggies
  • Put it all in a large pot on stove top (with lid) for 2-3 hours on medium heat – stirring occasionally.
