Ingredients
Ingredients for Jello:
- 2 small pkgs cherry jello
- 3 c hot (boiling) water
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 large can pie cherries filling
Ingredients for Topping:
- 2 small pkgs Cool Whip (or 2 c heavy whipped cream to make homemade topping)
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 3 c mini marshmallows
- 5 Tbsp powdered sugar
- crushed pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Add your jello packets to hot water, stir until dissolved.
- Add in extract and can of cherry pie filling. Mix until combined.
- Pour into your serving dish, cover and refrigerate until completely set.
- Whip your heavy whipping cream until soft peaks form. Add in your softened cream cheese, vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix until thoroughly combined and no lumps show.
- Add in your mini marshmallows and stir with spatula or spoon.
- Top the set up jello with topping into an even layer.
- Sprinkle top with crushed pecans. Keep refrigerated until you serve.
