- Total Time: 3 hours to overnight
- Yield: 2–3 servings 1x
- Category: Dessert
Ingredients
- 8–12 mandarin oranges
Instructions
-
Prepare the Mandarins: Peel the mandarins, removing any seeds.
-
Freeze: Place the peeled mandarins in a freezer-safe container and freeze overnight, or until completely solid.
-
Soften Slightly: Remove the frozen mandarins from the freezer and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften just slightly.
-
Blend: Transfer the slightly softened mandarins to a food processor. Blend until smooth. Initially, the mixture will be crumbly; continue blending until a smooth, sorbet-like consistency is achieved.
-
Serve: Immediately scoop the mandarin sorbet into bowls or glasses and serve. Garnish with desired toppings, if desired. (We shaved a little bit of a chocolate bar on top!)
Notes
- Be sure to continuously scrape down the sides of your processor so it is all consistently smooth. This will take a bit of time & will be very crumbly at first. Keep going & it will come together again.
