- 1 cup walnuts or pecans, whole, unroasted
- 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Stir all ingredients until combined. Spread onto prepared pan.
- Bake 10 minutes. Stir well and reduce oven temperature to 250F. Bake 15 minutes.
- Stir well and scrape off parchment onto the pan. Bake another 15 minutes.
- Stir well. Bake and then stir in 10 minute intervals until dry and crunchy.
- Cool completely on pan. Store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
Notes
- So many ways to use these: adding them to cereal, oatmeal, salads, ice cream, pancakes, brussel sprouts and more!
- Trail mix: combine with dried fruit, other nuts and semisweet chocolate chips as a tasty trail mix.
