Ingredients

  • 8 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 11 1/2 c marinara sauce
  • salt to taste
  • fresh basil for garnish
  • crostini or naan for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a small (approximately 8-inch) baking dish with cooking spray.

  • Make Cheese Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine goat cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, and dried basil. Shape the mixture into a ball in the center of the prepared baking dish, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

  • Add Sauce and Bake: Fill the border with marinara sauce. Sprinkle with salt. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.

  • Make Crostini (Optional):

    • Heat 1 1/2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-high heat until melted.
    • Add baguette slices to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides.
