Ingredients
- 1/2 c butter, softened
- 3/4 c packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 c flour
- 1/2 c mini chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 c chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 1/2 lbs semisweet chocolate candy coating
Instructions
- Cream the butter & brown sugar until light & fluffy.
- Add in flour, milk, vanilla & salt – mix well.
- Stir in the mini chocolate chips & nuts.
- Shape into 1 inch balls; place on wax or parchment lined baking sheet.
- Loosely cover & refrigerate until firm (1-2 hours).
- Melt candy coating in microwave, stirring often until smooth.
- Dip balls in coating; place on wax paper lined sheet.
- Refrigerator until firm, about 15 minutes.
- Store in the refrigerator.
Notes
We have never had problems eating this without treating our flour. But just in case you wanted to do that…

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Spread a thin layer of flour on the baking sheet and bake for about 5–7 minutes. Use a food thermometer to check that the flour has reached 160°F.

Pour flour into a large, heat-proof bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval. Use an instant-read thermometer to test the grain in several places to make sure it has reached 165°F throughout.
