  • Cook Time: 12 minutes
  • Total Time: 2 hours
  • Yield: 24 rolls 1x
  • Category: Bread

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 can evaporated milk – approximately 3/4 cup
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp yeast
  • 2 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 57 cups flour

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl add your water, canned milk and melted butter.  Add your yeast, salt and sugar and mix until just combined.
  • Add your beaten eggs and 2 cups flour.  Mix until things start to come together.  Keep adding in flour a cup at a time until you see it start to pull away from the edges.
  • Once it has cleared the bowl when mixing – transfer to a greased bowl & let it rest (covered) & rise for 1 hour.
  • Punch down the dough and decide if you are making dinner type rolls or cinnamon rolls.
  • Onto a greased (non-stick) surface – roll out your dough.  Depending on if you are making rolls or cinnamon rolls – you can cut and shape them as you like.  We divided the dough in half and rolled into a circle.
  • Using a pizza cutter – cut into twelve wedges and starting at the wide end, roll to form a crescent shape.  Place onto a lightly greased or parchment lined baking sheet, cover and let rise until doubled in size (about 30-60 minutes).
  • While the dough is rising, preheat the oven to 350F.  Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.  Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter.  Serve warm.

Notes

  • This is a VERY versatile dough & sweet – so it makes the perfect base for cinnamon style rolls also!
